About the role

Join Contrarian Group Financial Planning as a Financial Planner and play a key role in helping our clients achieve their financial goals. As a Financial Planner, you will be responsible for providing expert financial advice and guidance to our valued clients. This full-time position is based in our newly refurbished Bendigo, VIC office.

What you'll be doing

Meet with clients to understand their unique financial situations, goals and risk profiles
Develop comprehensive financial plans tailored to each client's needs
Prepare and present detailed recommendations to clients
Implement recommended strategies and monitor client portfolios
Proactively communicate with clients to review and update their plans
Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and industry best practices
Collaborate with the broader Contrarian Group team to provide holistic advice
What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in Financial Planning, Finance or a related field
Passed the Financial Adviser exam and FASEA / Professional Year requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Financial Planner
Clean compliance record
Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CFP) are highly regarded
Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, investment management and client relationship management
Passion for the financial services industry and a commitment to putting clients first
Australian work rights required
Whilst not essential, having your own existing client base viewed favorably
