Description
Objective:- Provide guidance and advice to the respective Business units on the impairment triggers (i.e. Mandatory Status Trigger and Ancillary Status Trigger) and process flow of the FRS IA System.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to the regulatory, Group, internal policies and guidelines.
- Preparation and submission of management reports are accurate, complete and timeliness.
- Actively participate and collaborate in problem solving and simulation exercise pertaining to MFRS9 IA matters with Business units, SME Recovery, Loan Recovery and other related parties.
- Liaison person between Loan Recovery System Support and Business Units to clarify User ids access and any other issue related to FRS IA system.
- Assist in the projects involving MFRS 9 if required.
- Engage with EBI team if there are any discrepancies in ENT Master Loan and ia_total listing.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, coordinate and track the completeness of FRS IA assessment submission on Monthly and Quarterly exercise.
- Review and analyze any New IA and any ASTs triggers that meet the criteria in stage 2.
- Coordinate and liaise with Business Unit for the preparation of IRWC material on Newly IA impaired borrower or Existing IA impaired borrower with change in assumption used in order to obtain IRWC approval for basis of provisioning.
- Engage, advise on and deliberate on the IA assumption used to derive the correct Net Present Value (NPV) with Account Relationship Managers.
- Conduct checking and control of the information used in the computation of Individual Assessment (IA) to be reconciled with the database.
- Prepare reporting and analytical information on MFRS9 IA for Domestics and Overseas branches.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of the information /reports generated for MFRS9 according to the timeline.
- Attend to request for information from Corporate & Investment, Commercial, SME business units, SME Recovery and Loan Recovery both for Conventional and Islamic portfolio, internal and external auditors and BNM.
- Provide assistance in the back testing exercise on IA key assumptions.
- Work closely with Loan Recovery System Support Department and IT on system enhancement and process automation.
- Conduct and involve in UAT on FRS IA system and process automation.
- Engage with Loan Recovery on FRS user ID access, any issues and conduct FRS User ID reviewing purposes.
- Proactive engagement and collaborate with Business units, SME Recovery, Loan Recovery and other related parties in problem solving and simulation exercise pertaining to MFRS9 IA matters.
- Perform SAS EG monthly updates for IA impaired borrowers in respect of Conventional and Islamic portfolio.
- Monitor and review the generation of MFRS9 reports.
- Conduct and analyze on the IA Review by every Quarter1 and Quarter3 of the year.
- Engage with EBI team if there are any issue pertaining to ENT Master Loan and ia_total listing. Also, to ensure the correctness of IA impaired borrowers both Conventional and Islamic portfolio churn out accordingly.
- Engage and collaborate with GCM team to ensure the impairment triggers correctly being assessed in the FRS IA system based on Business Units renewal paper.
Requirements:
- Professional or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking or equivalent qualifications.
- ACCA, CIMA, MICPA, CFA or in related subjects will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4-5 years working experience in finance department
- Preferably with knowledge on MFRS9
- Able to adapt to changes and constantly improve work processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Good knowledge of banking operations processes and accounting standards
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- In-depth knowledge of the Group's systems architecture, system flows and databases
- Computer skills/knowledge in data mining or using productivity tools like SAS, SQL or other BI/analytical tools
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work both independently and as a team
