Join a high‑impact project at the heart of our Risk & Compliance functionWe're offering an excellent remote opportunity for an experienced Audit & Reconciliation Accountant to play a key role in a major project within our Risk & Compliance Team. Working closely with our Senior Audit & Reconciliation Accountant, you'll help deliver accurate, robust reconciliations across our policy administration systems, bank accounts and cash allocations-directly supporting the vital work of our Past Business Review Team.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll collaborate with your Line Manager to shape your objectives, but your core responsibilities will include:
- Reconciling funds received from clients, insurers, credit agencies, and other third parties across all relevant bank accounts, identifying and escalating anomalies.
- Reconciling Policy Administration System (PAS) transactions against bank activity to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Completing detailed reconciliations of individual client ledgers-covering invoices, bank entries, and cash movements.
- Producing reconciliation artefacts to a standard suitable for both internal and external audit.
- Maintaining the project reconciliation tracker and providing weekly updates to the Programme Director.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a proactive, investigative mindset.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE) with deep reconciliation experience.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve a wide range of queries.
- Solid understanding of internal financial controls.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry, including risk types and insurer placements.
- Internal audit experience (advantageous).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
